Applications Now Open for Updated 黑料社 Internship Program

Student intern learning from mentor

The Office of Experiential Learning & Career Development has revamped the 黑料社 Internship Program, adding more professional development opportunities for students. Starting this fall, the program will provide students with access to valuable training opportunities before they begin their paid internships.

How does it work?

Students must now apply to be admitted into the program by filling out the application form on between June 9 – 18. After being admitted into the initial stage of the program, students will attend a mandatory interview with the Experiential Learning & Career Development team.

The program spans 12 weeks, with the first five weeks dedicated to mandatory professional development workshops, and the latter seven weeks dedicated to the off-campus, paid internship placement with non-profit organizations and/or small businesses in New Brunswick.

The professional development portion of the program is mandatory, as it will affect the students’ placements for the paid portion of the program. To accommodate students’ busy schedules during the start of the academic year, the Office of Experiential Learning & Career Development will host these workshops twice per week (Mondays from 9 to 10:20 am and on Friday from 3 to 4:20 pm).  Students must attend one workshop per week, at the time that is most convenient for them.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students from across academic majors / programs who are in good academic standing are eligible
  • International and domestic students are eligible
  • Students who have not maxed out their terms through the paid program (2 for domestic students; 3 for international students) are eligible
